Making a moderation decision[edit | edit source]

Moderation decisions should be made in consensus with all other moderators. Moderation decisions should preferably be logged, tho we do not have a set place yet where this can happen.

Onboarding a new moderator[edit | edit source]

Add them to the Moderation channel on Matrix
Give them moderation rights in all relevant services
1. Mastodon
2. Matrix (#hakken and #general)
Write their name on the wiki page
Announce the change on community channels & mastodon

Offboarding a moderator[edit | edit source]

Remove their moderation rights in all relevant services
1. Mastodon
2. Matrix (#hakken and #general)
Remove them from the Moderation channel on Matrix
Remove their name from the wiki page
Announce the change on community channels & mastodon
